Time flies...

...when you have a three year old and a 7 week old...

Can you believe it! She is 7 weeks old already! This time around things seem to be moving faster, but I am still trying to be in the moment...even though most of my moments find me very tired, feeling like I had just run a triathlon twice, then came home, vacuumed the entire house and mowed .49 acres.

Some days are better than others. It is great when The Older learns a lesson - like why we do not climb the counters to get at candy on top of the fridge... and it is particularly fantastic when both The Older and The Younger take a nap at the same time and I do as well!! So far this has happened once - very memorable though!

I did finally join Facebook - the link is on the right side of this page I think - and spend most of my time there...taking quizzes, commenting on other people's comments, connecting with people I thought were lost to the cosmos... It also is easier to use than MySpace...and less cluttered.

After not having my Mom to help with The Older this week - she was on a much needed vacation to VA and DC area and my MIL did watch her a bunch (Thanks, Star!!) - I am considering VPK (Voluntary Pre-K) but probably won't because I have very little faith in the local area school system... my husband and I did decide - even before we got married - that we would homeschool our kids... but maybe our little adrenaline junkie needs to play with her own age for a bit until The Younger gets bigger and I can do more than just nurse her, burp her, change her, nurse her again, put her to sleep and play with The Older until The Younger wakes up and I have to do all that again!

I'm tired...zzzzzzz.........

About Face...

I am finally in Facebook much to the delight of my husband and his family. Yes, I must admit, it is better than MySpace (which I am also in...) for many reasons.

AND! my one month old weighed in at 12 pounds yesterday at Chiropractic!!!

AND I finally am going through some pictures of the new baby and posting the good ones on the internet.

Breastfeeding is NOT obsene!

Over on Facebook - no I don't have an account over there yet, but my husband does - there has been a virtual nurse-in all day.

Here is more info about it on another blog.

I changed my MySpace pic to a painting of a nursing mother for a while in support of it and my Husband changed his Facebook pic to one of Maggie Gyllenhaal nursing her little one in public. Yes there do exist pictures of me breastfeeding my DD but they are all out of focus and not composed very well at all! And by the way, I breastfed my DD until her 3rd birthday! I hope to nurse her sister at least as long ;o)

Right now, The Child Inside is constantly kicking and rolling and moving and giving my joy that she is INSIDE not OUT like her sister! I am doing well and am pregnant longer that I have ever been (I am just past the 31 week point in this pregnancy - the short version of last pregnancy is severe preeclampsia at 30 weeks, hospitalization, delivery of DD at 31 weeks, 17 day NICU stay, 3 months of preemie care, PPD for 6+ months, pain suffering...whole 9 yards...)

My own space

I do have a MySpace page and here is why: my DH ran into someone from his high school class in church totally out of the blue. She said they were going to have their ten year reunion soon and he should check out the class' MySpace page. Well, he found it after much ado and decided to start to connect with old classmates by starting his own page. Then he said I should get my own page. I reluctantly did. MySpace was getting a really bad rap at the time and it also seemed juvenile. But lo and behold, I found that my own high school was having their ten year reunion - sort of - and they had their own page.

Anyway, we sort of went to each others reunions, both were kinda lame (mine was horribly expensive and his we just managed to go to the picnic). But what came out of it was that I reconnected with former classmates and friends I had not heard from in 10-20 years! For the most part, everyone looked the same, just older.

It was also through MySpace that I found a kind of voice for my opinions and was able to connect with other advocates of things I am interested in. I think, though, that I will come away from MySpace and use this medium as my outlet. It seems to have more freedom and flexibility, and I can post breastfeeding pictures without fear of Tom deleting them. :P

I invite you all to leave comments, opinions, thoughts and prayers on my blog....though I can't promise they will all be approved! (it IS my site after all ;o)
